Godless Go Home

According to an interesting, if necessarily idiosyncratic, USA Today/Gallup Poll, atheists are the only group fewer than half of Americans would consider casting a vote for. The numbers are quite telling about the state of American chauvenisms, and would seem to indicate that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Mitt Romney needn't worry about being hampered by race, gender, or religion; they'd just better HAVE a religion. 94% of those polled said they would vote for a black candidate, 88% for a woman, and 72% for a Mormon. Check it out. And where do you think "Austrian-born" would fall on this spectrum?

Well, as a atheist I can safely say that I would never vote for another non-believer. I want someone with a little bit of faith holding that h-bomb trigger, not someone who's going to have an existential crisis, thank you very much.
